The Dying Tradition(Stilt Fishing) Through Circle

The Dying Tradition(Stilt Fishing) Through Circle.

This picture was taken in the northeastern coastal part of India, specifically in the Sundarban region. I found a group of stilt fishermen in this coastal region and the very first moment I found them I capture them and their work, this practice started during world war II but now this tradition is at its very end.

Photography to me is capturing the best moments of life as I see and feel them. I am a Street and Documentary photographer. The uncertainty and suspense drives me the most towards these genres of Photography. Documenting people over the years has provided me with the invaluable opportunity to explore the unknown and to embrace the conglomerate realities of people. I am one of the member's of Photography Charcha Research Club Kolkata . Ferry Man

Ferry Man.

Took this image on the Diwali 2022 weekend visiting the area of Sriniketan. Crossed a river on this boat to discover the area. On my way back, the ferry man allowed me to portrait him on his boat. He’s working as a ferry man for the last 30+ years and knows all the people in the area. A really wonderful man, spend some time talking to him (was in company by a friend from Kolkata for the translation).
