This picture was taken when I was in Shantipur, West Bengal, one of the textile hubs of India. In Shantipur highest proportion of textile workers in West Bengal can be seen around 90 percent of themes are women. In this picture, this lady was a textile worker her name is MIRA DUTTA as an independent working woman he was also supporting her husband and family by doing this textile work. Here in Shantipur, we can see in almost every family have at least one textile woman and someplace we find textile men also. During the pandemic, Covid-19 period textile working women’s condition is going to be very bad. This pandemic affects the textile industry a lot, non -the availability of skilled workers, the sale of raw silk, working capital, cash flow, etc.
